A year back I was struggling hard for the lack of knowing the most authoritative source of preperation . But now since i have got direct in touch with the “so called” best institutes for preperation atleast I can say that i have got my hands to the authoritative source of preperation . Theres no necessity of being in Vajji’s …. Take my word ..follow these .. I guess one should be pretty well preperared .
For General Studies Prelims :
1 . Geography ( 30 -35 marks ) :
Old NCERTS 6th tho 10th . Please note its the old NCERT ( means 2001 edition) . 6th – 8th covers world geography .9th and 10th covers Indian Geography . In Delhi you can find these NCERTS in Mukerjeenagar Xerox shops .For outstation people , I know its a difficult task for i had experienced lots of diff previously in securing them . Geography through maps from Siddhartha is also a good reference here. In case you are unable to secure NCERTS Wizrds Geography for GS would serve the purpose
Gocheleong is another must .
2> Histrory :
Ancient , Medivel and Modern India [ all old NCERTS ( < 2001 edition] . No need of 6th to 8th coz its a repetition .
3> Polity :
DD Basu and Ravindran sir ’s class notes . Dont worry You get it all xerox shops in Delhi ..[ Rajendra Nagar and MukerjeeNagar] . Theres no hard and fast rule u have to get hold of this year notes on polity . even a couple of years old is the same . But you might have to add some appendix of amendments .
4> Science :
I cannot suggest here
5> Economy :
Pratyogita Darpans Special Issue and India Year Book
6>Current Affiars :
Vajji has just yesterday release their current Affiar collection . Had a cursory glance ..seems to be good . Also http://indiancurrentaffairs.blogspot.com is pretty exhaustive . I would rather say just to buy the vajjis material here for Rs 60 .
