My Website — Namma IAS – a analysis

In Uncategorized on November 20, 2009 at 4:22 am

This is my website

After considerable amount of time here are some analysis based on data collected from google analytics .

1. I get many first time vists ( 85%) . But 14% second time visits is something good . It means people come back :)

2. The number of vistors is low , but yet significant Around 2k visits a month( I know many tech blogs get this traffic in a day ) But mine is not a tech blog .

3. Many people aspiring for IAS and using internet are in bangalore 10 times Delhi . So market for internet solutions is in Bangalore only .. It s abysmally low else where . People searching for “IAS coaching” is highest in Bangalore ( around 500 people a mnth) and next in Delhi followed by Chennai .

4. People of late have started using “namma ias” as search string . Now more than 50% of clicks I get from this search string which means people see me as a entity .Earlier I used to get clicks from mainly “IAS coaching bangalore” string .

5. Most people send good amount of time on my site which shows it is informative .

6. The problem is about bounce ratio .. No idea how to control it .

7. Most people use Firefox than IE to come to my website which means people are in SW industry / than laymen .

8 . The conclusion is that people know me .. People know Namma IAS exists , but people are hesitant to try I guess . A open invitation to all ..

There is no use people discuss “Is it good? Do they do this that in some forums . The best way is to experience the innovative learning at Namma IAS . Attend the classes … drop in on Saturdays/Sundays and experience for yourself — Namma  IAS

The work mainly now remains how to make people experience the newness ..:)

I dont know why “coaching institutes” select people

In Uncategorized on November 6, 2009 at 5:21 pm

Now in Bangalore a new trend has started ..

1. Coaching institutes claiming 100% success in prelims ….

( Eg refer this .) See there is no “great achievement” in clearing prelims if you r failing in Mains .  Now whats the great deal if you clear prelims if the coaching was for you to be a IAS officer?

2.  Why are coaching institutes for ?

Are they UPSC ? No right … The purpose of coaching institutes are to guide people who approach them .. Now some insti .. doing a telephonic interview ..etc and at end charging 30+ is nothing but just a ” show off” and nothing more .

3. Regading coaching institutes claiming “So many questions are from my material” ..

Refer the basic materials 100% questions are from there .

For GS the sources are IYB , VajiRam n Ravi mains class Notes and Newspapers

For Pub Ad .

Mohit Bhattacharya , Nicholas Henry , IJPA apart from ur LK and Stephen Robins

So its 100% from them .. So its just fart to claim this % is from my notes his notes etc ..

4. Clear the myth off .. The basic pblm is till  now you used to study 1 book as the syllabus ..

For eg DSC is the maths book ..

For UPSC you need to study based on syllabus … since 1 book does not serve the purpose .  As simple as it .. What r the sources well defined based on ur subject ..

Budget 2009 — Explaining to a ‘aam admi”

In Uncategorized on July 7, 2009 at 6:54 pm

Well let me try to explain the details ( not some figures ) and ttheir impact on Indian economy .This will be a pretty long post . So warning the reader before he proceeds .

Budget 2009 can be discussed under following heads

1. Intention of the Govt as expressed in Budget

2. Direct Vs Indirect Taxation — A folly always repeated

3. New Pension Scheme

4. Goods and Service Tax

5. Fertilizer Subsidy

6. Farmer Loans , Agriculture

7. Oil Sector

8. The great empowerment of Indian aam admi — Disinvestment

9. Banks and Insurances

10. Our Srilankan Brothers

11. National calamity Fund

12. Rashtriya Swastha Bhima Yojana

13. Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana

14 . Employee Exchanges

15. IT sops

16 . What my Rural bhai got what he lost.

17 . What my Urban bhai got what he lost .

18. Why market reacted negatively for this budget .

1. Intention of the Govt as expressed in Budget

The intention of the Government is very clear , put more money in hands of the people and this is ofcourse the way to tackle recession . Only when people have money , people can spend  and only when people spend economy can grow .. Confused How ?

Ok  for simplicity lets say there is only 1 Factory which produces good “x” and there is 1 house hold of “Ramu” . ( for simplicity)There is only 1 product in the market and only that is need by Ramu to live survive and so on. Our Ramu goes and works in the Factory and Factory pays him salary . (For simplicity) lets say Ramu does not save anything but spends all his salary on the good which factory produces .

Now Suddenly one day Goddess Laksmi came and said in Ramu’s dreams to spend more even though he doesnt have money . Lets say Goddess Laksmi says “Ramu I ll give u the extra money go n enjoy ” .

What will Ramu do ?

Ramu who used to purchase 1 good of factory now will purchase 2 goods .==> Factory has to produce more ==> factory needs Ramu to work more ==> factory will pay more ==> ramu will get more salary .

So broadly this is how economics work though i have simplified .. So always growth is possible when people start spending and this is what our FM wants and this is very clear coz of

1. Income Tax rebates , doing away with surcharges ==> More money in hands of Urban .

2. NREGA ==> 39,100 cr and farm loan 6% ==> More money in rural

So govt clearly wants people to spend more . Remember this I will use this again in later part when I speak abt disinvestment .

2. Direct Vs Indirect Taxation — A folly always repeated

This time budget Our FM has kept Direct Tax changes is revenue neutral and Indirect Tax is supposed to fetch Rs 2000 cr more . Time and again We have done this mistake , we are doing it again .

First of all we need to understand what is “direct tax” and what is “indirect Tax” .

Direct Tax ==> Tax borne by same person on whom it is imposed .

Example our Income Tax . I have to bear my Income Tax . I cannot ask my company to pay my Income Tax :)

Indirect Tax ==> Imposed on someone and borne by someone

Eg all these VAT etc .. Tax on goods ==> Initially Merchants pay ==> But later collect from end customers .

In most developed countries Direct Tax > Indirect Tax , but in India we have Indirect Tax >> Direct Tax .

The main problem here is if ” Indirect Tax is more poor is hit ” since the price of goods will increase but with direct tax the rich [ I mean Tax payers] is hit [ This is considered "ok" because they have sufficent cushion to survive , but poor will cut his one time meal to survive ( generally woman in the house ) ==> Malnurtion and bigger problem again to the govt]

So I am very sad despite after many reforms committees reports we are doing it yet again .

3. New Pension Scheme

A good description of NPS can be seen here . Basically now everybody can have a pension scheme . major advantage

1. A min investment of Rs 500 .

2. Very low Fund management charge

3. Disappointingly it has tax on withdrawal unless u convert it to annuity at the end of 60 yrs .

4. Its has e( equity) C ( mixed) and G( govt bonds) so balance risk taking course .

5. “The trust that Govt wont cheat ” . Afterall it is a 40 yr long commitment !!

To these above advantages Now NPS trade in equity and derivative market wont attract STT .. This means more profit from NPS than other MF .. which will be availbale in market . [ provided they r into same companies and managing same portfolios] .

4. Goods and Service Tax

For long now GST has been in discussion . 13th Finance commisson is also looking into it . Empowered commitee of all State FM’s have finally given nod .

Basically after introducing this GST lots of this tax that tax etc goes and single unified taxation comes into effect . Thus petrol in Bangalore will not be >> than petrol in delhi and so on ..

But  GST has some inherent challenges also .The model being adopted is called “dual model ” where by both centre and State levy the tax

First big headache, State loss

States will be under loss , if GST is implemented because states which were charging some tax on crossing their borders is now gone .. So state will be under loss . Though centre has agreed to bear the loss for 5 yrs .. State always feel wary abt centre . This buget NO MENTION OF CENTRE BEARING LOSS .

Second big Headache , Taxing services .

Now service are being brought under taxation ==> HUGE work on building new infrastructure to track service usage etc .

For eg till now service tax was collected by Centre , but now with GST there r States also involved . So details like if a telephone call is made from Delhi to Mumbai where will it be taxed ? Delhi or Mumbai etc has to detailed out and a effective IT structure and new training of officials is needed .

5. Subsidies

Subsidies debate has been for quite long almost from green revolution time .

For Subsidies : People say subsidies for poor is needed if inequalities has to be destroyed .

Against Subsidies: People say subsides destroy competitiveness and also the value . They quote eg of water . If water is free people will use drinking water to wash their bufffaloes also . If water is charged then people will conserve even a single drop of water .

Anyways taking the existing inequalities in country subsidies cannot be done away with . Govts step to REDUCE susbidies is welcome .

Mainly 3 subsides are of  importance

1. Fertilizer Subsidy :

a) Govt is moving to nutrient based susidy instead of current product pricing regime .

b) Till now govt would deal with fertilizer companies and make sure fertilizer available at cheaper rates . This is a big mistake because the actual benifitter is the company than the farmer . In practical situation rich farmers make maximum utilization of this scheme , which was introduce to protect marginal farmers . NOW GOVT IS MOVING TO GIVE SUBSIDY TO FARMER NOT COMPANIES . A very welcome step

2. Oil Subsidy

The LPG gas you get or Kerosene is sold at cost less than cost price …

3. Food Subsidy

Food Security Act is coming !! The next big ONE after RTI and NREGA . This is one of the reason I love Sonia Gandhi .. She is “the woman” . These schemes , NO ONE IN THE WORLD has dared to try and We are the pioneers . “Neccessity is the mother of all invention ” . No doubt with India being 66 / 88 in global hunger index ==> More than 50% of my brother and sister sleep with half empty stomach , food security is needed . But the controversy is the “details of the ACT” .

Whats the controversy ?

The ACT would mean 25kg of Rice / wheat at Rs 3 per kg to BPL families .

The problems with this def

1. Wrong definition of BPL . BPL in India Rs.11.80 a day per adult in rural India and Rs. 17.80 . This age old def itself precludes bulk of deserving people outside .

2. BPL and Antyodaya 9 poorest of poor conflict.

When you draw a line say like this ———————————————

person A

“             B

“               C

All A , B, C are BPL . But A is close to the line and C is fartherst . C needs more immediate help than A . We call C as “Antyodaya” .

Till Now C is enjoying a scheme called ” Antyodaya Anna Yojana ” gets 35 kg of Rice for Rs 2 . Now with this act AAY is scrapped and all come under same roof so , for him it would be 25 * 3 = 75 Rs. Before under AAY he was getting 35 kg for 2 so his monthly bill was Rs 70 . Now with this he is paying 5 Rs more and getting 10 Kg less .

For A and B

A BPL family’s ration bill for the 35 kg of wheat it is entitled to is today around Rs. 157.50 at the average rate of Rs. 4.50 a kg. This includes the cost the States add to the Central issue price of Rs. 4.15 a kg. Since the Act proposes cutting the BPL quota by 10 kg, the benefits of lower prices will be negative and families will end up spending Rs. 195 for the same quantity of cereals.

So effectively the ACT in its present form fails to provide the “additional security ” instead disturbs the current one .

6. Farmer Loans , Agriculture

Farmer Loans . Many of my friends had clamoured when Govt had announced farmer’s loan wavier . But friends Farming is the most riskiest business in the present day world . The very fact that getting insurance is difficult says the uncertainity and risk my farmer brothers are taking .

1.Govt has decided to give upto Rs 3L loan at 7% and 1% rebate if he pays back promptly

2.Raised the credit flow

7. Oil & Gas Sector

1. Tax breaks on profits from productiona and sale of Natural gas and oil from upcoming NELP VIII

2. This is only for upcoming not already existing ==> So RIL out

3. Tax benifit for private if set up refinery before 2012 ==> Advatage Essar

4. National Gas Grid !! Wow finally we will have pipeline highways

So if you are buying any stock advice is to hold Essar .

8. The great empowerment of Indian aam admi — Disinvestment

I have been telling from long time , The common man is not being involved in the growth process . He is not “owning” a business . Disinvestment is one of the steps of financial inclusion of “masses” where by masses will start holding a share in the growth story of India .

Govt is expecting to rise Rs 2000 cr from market via disinvestment . There is a small glitch here , with the competion of corporates and Govt to raise money from market but obvious interest rate will go up . If it goes up in recession then a lot of problems are in the bag .. Be ready ” the common man” .

9. Banks and Insurances

FM made a strong statement that not less than 51% stake will govt hold in banks and insurances . So that means not increase in FDI here .. So no quick solution to the trouble .

10. Our Srilankan Brothers

Rs 500 cr for Srilankan brothers . A very good move . I appreciate congress for this . I will write abt Sri Lanks sometime

Ha .. I am sleepy .. rest are some direct things like modernising employee exchange , PM Adarsh gram yojana , Our FM has showered great favours on Women ( Hope women use it and claim their right share ) .

In nut shell

1. Though a deficit of 6.8 % . The low inflation now acts as a cushion . FM says to get the deficit right in 3 yrs lets see . But this was unavoidable . With 6th pay commison ,  relief packages .. [ AAI in distress as I write thing , I guess Jhadav is having night mare as i write this :) ]. So I am not against it .

2. More money in hands of people

3. More planned disinvestent .

The market has not understood the bidget completely yet . I see a bright shining future for my country , and budget has been good and balance .

I hope I have made budget core simpler .

Good Night

How to choose a coaching Institute for IAS

In Uncategorized on June 13, 2009 at 3:26 pm

I have been now asked this question “n” number of times by ” |_  (n/x)  _ |” number of people .

1 . Ask them course detail

Ask them the pedagogy . If a coaching institute has not prepared it , then you can guess the seriousness they carry in coaching . In Civil Services the most important is planning . Ask for the plan ( Demand for it ) . And dont settle for vague answers . Let it be on paper , like what part of portions will get covered when , etc etc etc .

2. Based on your convinence choose the batch .

If you are working / not working etc

3. Speak to the Teacher / Instructor

Most of the time you join coz of some name . Dont do the mistake , go personally and meet the Instructor and teacher and see if he is really commited and ready to go a extra mile to help you . This is the most important characteristic of the teacher which will benifit you . In fact this is the only exam where current affairs makes a difference . Generally the older gen teachers tend to be complacent with happenings of today . Check if he is in today’s context …

4. Check if they have any Test Series to evaluate

Coaching should never be a sink , It should be a coninuous process and feedbacks are very important .

So kindly do check following points before you join , so that you wont regret later .

How to give back to the society ?

In Uncategorized on June 11, 2009 at 2:47 pm

Hi ,

Giving back to society does not mean contributing to a NGO . This is something I observed very much .. Most of the corporates will have a group and almost all the corporates give funds to “A SAME SCHOOL” .. This in no way means contribution ..giving food to already filled is not help .. I am also not saying stop giving .

The real way of helping is not providing “fish” to a hungry man , but teach him fishing ..Thats where microfinance fits .

So what you can do ?

See as I identify the section of people who need most help is

1. The transgenders ( Kojas,Hijras whatever you may call them )

2. The Housewives ( Their contribution @ home is never economically valued).

The problem of transgenders.

Disparity in Education

They r the most oppressed section in society . They dont have any seperate schools , and in normal schools tehy are the most abused / humiliated , as a result most of them generally quit before high school .

Disparity in Govt employment and Private Employment

Since most of them end up non 10th pass , they become inelgible for Govt employment . Another important aspect is  even in constitution ( Art 16, Art 15) says “No discrimation based on sex” , which rules out any provisions that can even be thought for them .

Most of them try to searchh for pvt employment , and again they are most abused here . They are even unable to get a hosue maid job because generally women are worried that these “transgenders” are more powerful and fear any “danger” from them .

As a result they generally end up in ill-legal activites , which earns them a living , which makes police always suspect them for any petty crimes that happen in locality .They are the real “abled” people made “disbaled by society .

This is not some dreamt pblm , this is on the ground situation . Next time you meet a transgender in traffic light , speak to him for 15 min , which i am sure will make your heart beat for them .

The Solution

Today I visted “Prerana” . Its a small shop which is run by transgenders . This shop gives them 2 meals a day .

What can you do ?

You can finance a shop . The cost of shop is not too heavy . It ll cost you around 3L – 4L ( ie 4 1L investors) .

1.You will get 20% of profit earned and the the transgenders will share 80% of the profit .

2.Your investment is not lost , It always exists but in kind .. like cloths or like retail etc .. And the investment you make is not “JUST A DONATION” . It earns you back something , though may be NOT HUGE profits , but still a decent amount .

3. You help some people find a “life” . You will be the eshwar , allah , GOD of their life.

4. Over a long term , your investments will earn better than what you would by keeping in the bank .

Dont you think , its a good way ?

Dont just give  a fish , Teach him fishing .

1.If you are interested to do such investments . Please do write to business.namma@gmail.com

2. I am in touch with the community of transgenders . If you find someone who is intrested drop a word

The mistakes of generations

In Uncategorized on June 2, 2009 at 2:34 am

If one looks carefully at what he has achieved till date , the answer for most of us would be shocking . Just look back and think , your parents built a house , your parents sent you to school , your parents bought some vehicle , your parents did many other things … Now what abt you ? you are trying to build a house , own a vehicle ( may be ur parents owned a 2 wheeler n u r trying for a 4 wheeler) , you want good education for your kids ( may be you will send your kid to a school where girls wear shorter skirts than they used to in ur time ) .

So if you look carefully , you are not any different . YOu havent changed anything . The only diff is what your parents did for “x” , you are doing it for “10x” . Else everything is same .

What is really missing ?

Your parents did one mistake , and you are repeating the same knowingly or unknowingly . Most of our parents did not own the means of production.

As Karl Marx rightly puts Burjuva is one who owns “means of production” and proletariat is one who works . And most of our parents or for that matter even ourselves are not dreaming to own a means of production but are satisfied with what we get as wages at the end of the month . This is the mistake that has been commited from generations and will be continued for generations until a kind of realisation strikes all .

This is exactly the problem what I am trying to solve .. Correct the mistakes of generations — NAMMA .

NAMMA is NOT A AMWAY/RMP

In Uncategorized on May 25, 2009 at 6:25 pm

When I speak about “Namma” with someone , they try to conclude that it is another Amway .
But Namma and Amway are miles apart or rather universe apart . Here are the differences .

1 Amway / RMP are Network marketing agencies but Namma is NOT .
Amway / RMP are Network marketing agencies . They create hieracrchy and the money gets into this chain . The person at top makes the maximum . But Namma is not a chain . Namma divides its profit among the members based on their contribution to the profit of Namma . There is no hierarchy or tree or anything . It’s a community where all are treated equally.

2. Amway/RMP etc need a initial inevstment as membership .
Namma requires no extra memebrship charges . You become a member by consuming NAMMA services and these are not some “extra requirement” services . These are your day to day needs like NAMMA retail , Namma Health etc , which offer you the best quality of service .

3. The Total Mall / Apollo Hospital also has memberships .
True , But they offer rebate in cost .NOT A SHARE IN PROFIT . We are the only institution which is offering the consumer a share in the profit . Apart from getting quality service , your membership acts as a investment which gets back returns every 3 months . The potential of return infact may exeed the amount you have paid for the service .

4. Namma Services should be costly else why are they offering this .

No . Namma offers service at the most competitive price . We are realising the power of people . We want people also to realise that if people get united , every person can grow . We give every person back every pie that he is elgible for .

5. Dont speak abstractly . I did not understand the 4th point .

For details vist the particular institutions website .
NAMMA Retail
NAMMA Health
NAMMA IAS
NAMMA Insurance Solutions

In a nut shell we want every one to realise the power of community and growth in community life .

Summary

  1. We are not a Network Marketing Agency like Amway .
  2. Dont give 1 paise extra as membership fee etc . Just be a part of community .
  3. Get the part of profit which community will earn because you are a part of community .
  4. Lets give India its economic Independence .

Namma Philosophy– Giving India its economic freedom

In Uncategorized on May 25, 2009 at 5:52 pm

Dr Br Ambedkar in his Constituent assembly once said . India has got political freedom which is guaranteed by constitution , but the real freedom comes only when she attains economic and social freedom .

Namma Philosophy is a step in attaining economic freedom . No person who desires to get something should now be restricted by his economic condition .Every body should get his right and complete share for what he is elgible for .

I try to explain my new venture in the form of Q&A

1. By participating in NAMMA do i earn anything ?
Yes , the basic adventure what “NAMMA” is striving is to give end customer complete justice . Now every month each and every house purchases ration . Have you ever wondered that by plainly buying ration you are making some guy richer . When you are making some one richer dont you think you should be equal beneficiary of the profit ??

You would have definitely visted a clinic and would have obviously bought some medicine . In this whole process again , you are making the doctor and medical shop guy richer . Dont you want a part of profit which you are bringing in ?

This is exactly what NAMMA is trying to solve . We want you to get your due share and we grow united with NAMMA institutions .

2. Should I pay any money as membership or anything ??
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…………….. We are not to loot you . Different Namma Institutions is achieving the “Namma Philosophy” in differebt ways .

a) The NAMMA Retail
We have a retail outlet , where all products are available under a single roof at market competent prices . Instead of purchasing your montly ration from some local “Kirana”
shops , you can purchase from NAMMA Retail shops . If you shop for Rs 2000 + you become a part of NAMMA Retail outlet .

Every 3 months we declare our profit/Loss Statement and In the profit 25% will be distributed back to NAMMA retail family members as per their contribution .

So in a nut shell , every 3 months you earn back some part what NAMMA Retail outlet earns by purchasing form NAMMA retail outlets .

So what are the sources of profit ?
Apart from the normal profit which customer brings in , the NAMMA retail outlet has profit from ad places it sells . More of you people become a part of NAMMA family more the profit NAMMA Retail earns because of advertisers . We distribute this money back to the NAMMA Retail family members . So apart from getting your daily Ration , you also earn back a part of “profit” what NAMMA Retail earns

Whats the difference btw other shops?
Till date no other shop has ever shared the “profit” with its customer . Many shops give discounts .But NO shop shares its profit with its customers . NAMMA institutions are the first in the world who is going to share the profit with its customers in line with its philosophy of Inclusive growth .

b) Namma Clinic and Namma Medical
Here again we want the end customer to be benifited . When you visit a doctor , you are not only paying for consultation but also for medicine and the lab tests which doctors prescribe . Dont you think you have a valid say in share of the profits you are bring to these healt experts ??

NAMMA offers you a unique solution for this purpose where you get the high quality health services and also a unique opportunity to earn more than what you have invested .

NAMMA Health Service

1. You can become a part of NAMMA Health care by paying Rs 1500 per annum per head for general consultation ( Rs 4 a day) and enjoy unlimited Consultations for the complete year . Slabs available for 6 mths and quaterly also .

2. Pay Rs 100o etc and get unlimited consultations with the specialists .(ie Rs 2,500 unlimted
specialist and generalist consultations).

3. Any one of the above package will enable you to become a part of NAMMA Health care where in every 3 months we declare the profit statement and 25% of profit is divided among the members .

4. Please note that Profit here is not only from consultation but also from Pharmacy and other investigations conducted .

5. So your Rs 1,500 not only gets you unlimted consultations in a year but a door to earn more profits as NAMMA health care grows . SO apart from being tension free , it also acts as a investment working for you .

6 . Namma Clinic provides offers the best service in health care industry whose specialists include Pediatrician( Child Specialist) , Dermatologist ( Skin Specialist) , General medicine and so on . So now you get the most valued service at most affordable cost and most profitable returns .

c) Namma IAS

Namma IAS coaching begins from November in Bangalore . We specialise in Public Administration , Geography , Sociology and General Studies . The cost and number of lecture hours of each is put here

We guarantee 75% of the questions in prelims . Else your money will be refunded .

  1. Affiliations with leading coaching institutes of Delhi like Synergy .
  2. The cheapest and best cost/hr coaching in whole of the country .
  3. For all those who cannot pay by Money , you can pay by Time . Devote 3 hrs a day to NAMMA institutions and attend coaching for free .

d)NAMMA Insurance Solutions.
We help you in your complete Insurance planning . By choosing us for your insurance needs , we not just sell some policy , but we offer you a solution to suit your needs . By buying insurances form our agency , you are not just buying some insurance , but indirectly you are contributing back to the society .You gain the following

  1. Complete and Satisfactory experience .
  2. The best insurance solution to meet your needs .
  3. A contribution back to society .
  4. By buying Rs 1L worth insurance you become a member of NAMMA Insurance solutions .Every 3 months we declare profit statement and in that25% of the profit is distributed among members .
  5. Thus you earn a % profit apart from getting your insurances .

Thus without investing anything more , but by choosing NAMMA to serve you , you earn along with NAMMA institutions . We grow .

3. Can I invest with NAMMA Institutions .
Yes , you can . You need a initial capital of 70-80k ( refundable) and around 7-8k per month for a period of 6 months . The potential of profit is upto 500% .

Namma IAS Bangalore

In Uncategorized on May 20, 2009 at 5:40 pm

Hi people ,

Its great pleasure of mine to introduce you to a innovative and revolutionary concept of “Namma IAS“, Bangalore .

Here are the  problems of aspirants in Bangalore .

1. I am a well paid techie , I cannot leave the job for prepearation , But my dreams are of IAS . What should I do ?

As a software developer at one of the most prestigious MNC in Bangalore this was the first question which bugged me . I too looked around for solutions . The obvious solutions in Bangalore are

a) JSS

b) Rao

c) Himalaya

So I first joined JSS

2. How is JSS ?

JSS has had some name now ..based on which I joined .The professors are good but the problem is no exam orientation . Ask any senior in JSS this is the answer they give .And dont go by advertisements . Coz if you carefully observe the statements of them , they would have invariably been to Dlehi after JSS .

This was the same problem I experienced . “NO EXAM ORIENTATION” which is the most essential for this kind of exams .

But I would like to add good words on two teachers specially here

1. Dr Abdul Aziz(Economics Professor)

2.Prof Jeevan Kumar ( Pub Ad)– The problem is he comes only on Sunday ..so not much justice can be done to the subject .

Summary

Good for orientation but not for preperation

2. The Malleshwaram Rao’s Weekend Batches

After JSS you ll get the feeling of incompleteness and join Rao’s . Rao is a retd IAS officer . Good for sociology . Pub Ad he s good enough ..BUT

The pblm with weekend batch is they r shrinking the 225hr lecture pgm into a 48hr lecture pgm . N if you calculate the cost/hr then the cost/hr in Bangalore far exeeds what you pay in delhi . ( 28k /225hr) Rao( 10k/48hr)

I guess you r getting the pblm ..These exams need a sustained effort than effort in burbs .

3. Himalaya

Himalaya is the other extreme of JSS . Here there is a guy called Keshava and he is the mai baap of them . But he is neither an IAS nor a IAS aspirant ..He is studying for teaching so i guess u can understand the teaching there or depth of knowledge there .But he conducts tests etc .. But again Not much use

So the above is the scenario of IAS coaching centres in Banaglore . Then people leave to Delhi .For which one will have to leave the city – job etc ..

Problems of Non- Working People

The problem is the hige fees and cost of living . In delhi I  found few friends who had sold their ancestral land to pay the fees of the coaching institute and living in Delhi . After paying huge amounts also you are not sure if you are clearing the exams or not . So they are under additonal pressure of proving their worth coz everything is at stake and if things turn topsy tury they are subhected to further humiliation by their own parents/husbands etc who had financed their stay .

Solutions

To fulfill this huge gap I am propunding this “NAMMA INSTITUTE” which works on “NAMMA PHILOSOPHY” .

1. For Working techies

You can join the “Early Morning” ( 5:30-7:30) or “Late Night”( 7:30 – 9:30) batches . This will give you the continuty and consistency in your preperation and also we offer module wise courses .So if you are strong in a particular module you dont have to sit through that module ( Most science students strong in QA for UPSC so nodt advised to join)

2. The best in the industry

Keep checking this website where I will keep hosting the videos which will help you to understand the subjects better. We also have liasoning with some leading institutions in Delhi .

3.Pay By Time if not Money

For those who are non – working can choose to pay by TIME instead of MONEY . If they devote their 3hrs of time per day to the institute , based on your skill sets Institute will utilise your time for

1. Commercial purpose and /or

2. Social Purpose

So in short if you work for 3 hrs a day with our institution , you can attend the classes without paying fees .

Support

Now if you too subscribe to this “NAMMA” philosophy of inclusive growth , you can contribute by helping “NAMMA INSTITUTION ” help you in some of the folllowing ways

1. If you are buying a insurance , do it through NAMMA

2. If you  have any real estate purchase / sell do it through NAMMA

3. If you have any other idea for the workforce to be productive wirte to us @ nammaias@gmail.com

“Lets grow”

The World War 3 (between China and US) has started?

In Uncategorized on October 10, 2008 at 7:48 pm

As i write this article , one would have read a lot about  sub prime crisis in the newspapers and would have seen how Lehman tumbled and AIG was rescued by Fed and Us bail out of $700 bn . At the same time in the east China has built a forex reserve of $500bn from last 6 months and a total of $2 trillion .

Now before explaining the startergy of how Chinese are going to conquer the world , I would take some time to make the reader aware  of some common economic concepts which will be used in this article .

The Basic Concepts

Forex Reserve essentially means the foreign currency held by a central bank of a nation . For a nation , the deficit/surplus is calculated by Exports(X) -  imports(M) .

So for a nation having greater exports and lesser imports is desired . For exports to increase , we say that we should be able to provide any quantity at a cheaper cost . Say if one country sells 1 kg of cotton for 2$ and some other country for 3$ , buyers willl buy form country that is selling for 2 $ .

So to increase exports there are two ways

1> Increase Productivity … which ll decrease the cost of production and which will inturn decrease the rate at which u can sell … This involves technology heavily ……

The other way is the most intresting way …. “Devalue your currency” ..

How does devaluing your currency increase your export ?

Now say 1 $ = 45 Rs  . Say 45 Rs gets you  1 kg of rice . So a foreigner by paying 1 $ will take 1kg of rice . If you devalue ur currency Say you make 1 $ = 60 Rs then the same foreigner will take home 1.33kgs of rice for 1$ . Or in ither terms u have decreased the cost .. thereby increasing exports .

Simialrly this will make imports more dearer ..as a result imports(M) will decrease .

So for a nation Forex reserve = M – X increase !!

But economics is all abt balances .. the flip side is you r also importing inflation … which would again cause a increase in cost of production .

How is China attacking US

China as mentioned earlier  has huge forex reserver ..about $2 trillion . But there is a imbalance in trade between US and China . China is a major exporter of the goods to US ..US pays China .. and China parks this money in US as Us treasurey bills .

Other way trade is very neglible here ..case where US exports to China .

So Chinese central Bank always makes sure that yuan is weak . This is in accordance to the above explained principle ..so that it can have a competitive edge in the global market.   Because of China even other Asian countries make sure that their currency is undervalued .

Now coming back to the point ..This way China holds huge amount of Us tresaury bills .Just imagine if China sells all it bills ( $ 2 trillion) ..Us would choke with liquidity chrunch ..n intrest rates will blow off the roof …

Thus China is equipping itself to a position where it can rule the world ..

The stratergy followed is same as Us follwed against USSR during cold war .. The next World war ( WW3)  has started .Its not a war  to be fought by weapons ..Its all abt economics …………………………

Truth about IT industry

In Uncategorized on May 1, 2008 at 3:27 pm

“Degrees hardly matters” !!

Ya It is rightly known as leveller . You can find people with “high school” degree managing developers in US .. !!Even in India you can find people with “diploma” being delivery managers .. people with “BCom” being managers … Now then why this hype all around ??

You dream to code .. then you are at lowest ladder in the organisation .. wake up .. It doesnt mean you have to mow rush for an MBA .. MBA means Master of Business Administration . you administer business .. That can be done even without it though the theories learnt in MBA will help you to manage better (possibly) ..

But “IT is a levller” is so damn true

The Bangalore Dons !!

In Uncategorized on April 29, 2008 at 4:40 pm

Well it happened that I was chattinmg with some people and I came across a person who seemed to know this “underworld” pretty well . The following is inspired by his words .

Who is the “don”

Currently the “don” of bangalore is “Agni Sridhar” . He is a bald guy and always wears a Rayban to prevent the shine of eyes from striking you and he resides in Padmanabhanagar .

Why would anyone go to a don

Normally in businesses , we come across lot of defaulters . Say you are a businessman and say some “B” owes you money . If you go to court unnecessarily the case gets streched and money loses its value along with time . So there is no use of fighting for 50 Lakhs in court for 5 years .. Instead they come to “don” .He acts as a standing judge .. and can extort .. do whatever he want to give you justice. He takes a cut in the money

Wouldnt the defaulters go to don for rescue ??

Yes , they do come .. and generally the deals happens between two dons and the lender and defaulter dont do any talking .. They abide by the don’s words .. [ Thats the rule] .

Where can you find the Dons ??

Actually every area has a don .. for eg Vijaynagar has Govinda .. etc . These dons also maintain offices .. One such office is near Railway track of Vijaynagar . Also all members meet in Kadamba hotel of basweshwarnagar after 8 . It is said that “Agni Sridhar” himself comes to this Kadmaba hotel .. to preside over important decisions . It is also said that “chota mota kaam” gets settled by a phone call .

Wouldnt Police interrupt ?? Cant you approach police ??

Yes ofcourse you can …. But see the apathy .. the Notary which sit in front of utility building has to pay a hafta of Rs 200 per day ( not a joke) . The place where justice is fought , where you can expect utmost security .. people pay hafta to dons .. ( not police constables) .

Is this the only source of money ??

No not all .. nowadays best business the dons are entering is “newspaper/journals” .. They publish the unheard scenes and stories [ ya even Ravi belegare was a don] .

How to escape when u are attacked by hooligans ?

Tell them You r “Agni Sridhar’s ” gang member :) or Somanna’s shishya :)

Comparing IPL with Mahabharatha

In Uncategorized on April 25, 2008 at 6:22 pm

In Mahabharatha , when it was almost sure that the war was going to happen kauravas and Pandavas started lobbying for warriors . Duryodhana(Dur) was succesful in luring all the stalwarts and finally comes to lure Krishna . Yudistira (Yud)also at the same time comes to Krishna . Since Krishna was sleeping both decide to wait fo him to wake up .. and with som eego Mr Dur sits perpendicular to Krishna’s head and Mr Yud near his feet .. Everybody knows the story there after .

Cricketer’s auctiones for IPL has some pattern with the mahaBharatha as mentioned above .. but the difference being its the fight btw liquour and theatre ..

IPL has already created some embarassing situations .. for eg Utthappa .. who did his schooling at BHSS( Bangalore Higher Secondary School) and went to represent India through karnataka , is now playing for Mumbai!!

Symonds and bhaji .. the North and south are now in the same team .. I dont know if that has bridged some gaps or has widened the gaps even more ….

But on ething for sure we have got more news to read nowadays in the News papers :)

A day without managers in the company

Today was one of the best days I think … a day where no manager was found around !! I think it would be a inspiring idea if it is made compulsory for all the managers to work from home once a week :)

The intresting outcomes were some intresting “poems” were circulated through the mails :)

The future of Gaming Industry

In Uncategorized on April 25, 2008 at 5:54 pm

Without a zilch of doubt in mind we can easily say that future of gaming industry is mmorpg . These are games where people done a avatar in th virtual world and skim through the experiences . They fight dragons as in WOW or fly across the islands and teleport to IBM germany .. as in second life .

The main attractions in these games are that at any given time you will find other people with whom you can chat/ fight etc etc .. In a sense second life adds life to “chat”.. ofcourse with other “stuffs” .

Now speaking of the businesses these mmorpgs are converting the “virtual money” to the real “$$” . In the secon Life they have the Lindan $ which trades as 300 Lindan $ == 1$ . Similarly we find lots of “gold farmers” in China .. whose only work is to Kill monsters , or procure weapons etc etc and supply them to affluent western people who play the game . This has actually become a new avenue of business where people who work as farmers earn anywhere near 120 $ to 250 $ !! And also they have PF , health etc ect ..

The important point here to be noted is that these mmorpgs have created new opportunities , but at the same time have the capability to “affect” the real “economy” . In fact some Govts are seriously watching them .

Also companies like IBM buy islands after islands in the second life and use it for crowd sourcing . Sony has also very well used the second life .. In fact to such a extent that they will be soon launching their version of second life .

But ya hold on .. everythings not a cake walk .. If you wish to have a detailed understanding of How this Gold farming works read this.

But given the fact that in India there are so many people who are looking for a work .. Getting paid for playing games is not a “bad” idea :)

Soon my expectation is that we can find a bunch of “Gold mining centres” here in India which would employ youngsters to mine gold online .. Continue colonisation ??

Ad tower : Adding shine to the city

In Uncategorized on April 20, 2008 at 5:14 pm

What we can do is purchase a 6*6 site in MG Road ( Please note all I am asing is a 6*6 site which can be negotiated with some shopKeepers . Essentially space for bill boards) . Now errect a tower a rectangular tower and call it a Ad Tower .

Since it ‘ sunique and it is a ad tower sell the space for a few milon dollars and become rich !!

Or if u are a techsavvy guy .. Place some bean bags vertically stacked and say ” free office space ” for techies .

Lots of free lancers would love to be there !! And soon it will turn out to be a :geekY” entreprenaur spot .

That will inturn make ur Ad tower better :)

Automated Parking systems

In Uncategorized on April 20, 2008 at 5:06 pm

Most of the time we get stuck in the parking .. because of the hapazardly arranged vehicles . This has also resulted in the traffic jam around many junctions in bangalore .

How should a parking system be ?

Ideally speaking we should automate this parking system . This should be designed in such a way that any person who wants to park will approach a lift . The lift will automatically ‘analyse” where should it park and suitably places the car in that particular stack and returns the key to the user .

When user needs to get back his car he swipes this key and hurrah !! he has his car ..

May be even the “loyalty ” schemes and other gimmicks can be applied to commercialise the system .

if there are any builders reading this post .. Why shouldnt we build such a system ?

How can we improve the traffic condition in our city ?

In Uncategorized on April 20, 2008 at 2:20 pm

Every morning when we kick start our bikes to ride to the office we inadvertently contribute to the traffic mess that get created across the way . Lets discuss what practically could be done to control the traffic mess in Bangalore .

1. Work from Home :

Companies and management should think of having one day as a WFH day . Some management systems/tactics should evolve so that WFH is effective for the employer and employee !!

2. Public Transport Day

Once a week we should have a Public Transport Day and this will depend again on the “office ” location.

3. Metro Train

Once Metro train is up .. I dont see any point people travellling for an hour when you can reach the destination is 15 min !! But the catch is the stations ( Metro stations) should have very good parking . Possibly paring could be a automated system where a person goes and leaves the car on a lift and lift intelligently places the car in a stack and returns a key !! Th eperson can use this key to get his car back down . This way efficient parking system will be possible . And traffic will surely come under control

4. Induce discipline in riders

Most of us generally blame “auto” drivers . Ya true to most extent … but sometimes even we fine some civilians blocking and making way through “possible’ gaps …Some discipline should be brought among civilians ..

Adobe Tech Summit

In Uncategorized on March 7, 2008 at 5:23 am

Well I had been to Noida for attending Adobe’s tech Summit and it was definitely enligting .. Intrestingly I came upon a presentation of image search which happened to fall in some lines of my BTech final year project !!  Three days really rocked and was a high gyaan sessions ..

Keynote by sarnoff guy was very cool .. Especially where he demoed how they made a image speak !! Ya thats my tactic if when I stand for elections .. Every morning you gotta see me speak !! Well Sarn off appears to be a good company on the tech side ..Doing visual algorithms and stuff … solving intresting problems .. Great work Sarnoff

Well one enlightment I got was a new possible way of image compression , following discussions with Miller and my friend PC .. That was a nice experience ..

Then sneak peaks , and “Indian idol” I would say was not of standard of Adobe , atleast I expected .. It was like some college presentations …. But ya .. gotta appreciate the enthu … n courage ..

Overall it was a nice experience and it did induce some josh in me to travel further long …

After a long break

In Uncategorized on February 28, 2008 at 1:02 pm

You might be wondering where the hell i had disappeared !! Sorry for delays .. I am back !!

Well I never want to make any article look factitious [ made up] . So was waiting for some incident that was really worth sharing , but again I nothing much great happening in life .  Now I understand why the sw guys get married soon … guess ?? Coz they dont want to be bugged only by bugs …

Well if u have folloed my blog you can easily say that of late I have developed an inclination towards civil services . But now the biggest challenge  is choosing the right path .

Path 1

In the current scenario , I am comfortable .. earning enough to feed my family [ though I dont have one] .. My moms all time dream is to build a big [ double] bedroom house . I am in the position to fullfill it .At present my house id divide .. In a 30*40 plot we have a small house behind and another house in front .. But we cannot join them .. as it wont give the right look !! So I can purchase this from my dad for 30L( the housing loan) and build a house .. [ good duplex one in 20L] and purchase a site for 10L . . . The EMI is 1k / L so have to pay 30K towards the house ..N everythings fine .. In another 5 years .. I can sell off the site … which would be atleast 15-16L .. n the EMI would have easily accounted for another 10L .. SO will be left with some small loan to get away with . So in 5 yrs I would have built a house and would have bought a car .. N hey I would be 27 – 28 SO will eventually marry .. Have kids .. voila the perfect normal life …. Should I settle with this ??

Path2

Leave the job for a year and join Vajiraman for civil services . Give a full hearted attempt . If I clear then good I ll get a pay of 14 K .. but ll have lots of power n responsibilities , get transfered now and then , but have a satisfaction of doing something for my people . I dont know if my mom’s dream will ever get fullfilled of living in a double bedroom house . I would call this as a difficult path [ coz it takes lots of commitment from me ]

If I fail , I gotta search for another job and start back the rat race all again .  N the whole story continues …….

So I have to choose between path 1 and path2 … I am arguing hard on these ..  Hope ur view points ll help me out

In love on January 27, 2008 at 1:58 pm

Hi guys …. I just came across a blog which claims to be a tutorial for girls to keep away the wrong guy … Kindly go through this blog and correct ur mistakes !!!

http://fairyshirley.com/2008/01/27/tutorial-on-keeping-the-wrong-man-away/

Following is a letter fo the above author

Dear Author ..

Eyes can be deceptive … You should never judge a guy by his eyes .. Coz guys are like multiprocessor systems . Some threads keep running in the background . And ya .. to be frank .. there is no need of so much checks .. Ur mind and heart itself guides u … Always do what u like .. Then u ll not regret coz u did what u loved !!

And hey common you cant trace everything of a person’s past ..Even if u trace .. whats the use …. Men are preys of situations ..Take a most able man and put him in a total despair situation .. he is likely to behave as the “not so able” .

Please do know his backgrounds but dont become a sherlock Homles trying to dig deep into the past and relationships

Politics in all countries have no solid reasoning

In Uncategorized on January 27, 2008 at 1:47 pm

When the junta is huge .. “brains” does not matter .. All that matters is u need to get their “sentiment ” . Recently kennedy’s daughter openly supported Obama and her cousin has endorsed Hilary Clinton … Who cares .. I just dont understand why junta care of these endorsements ??

In India we have lots of network franchises like Amway , RPM etc .. They sell the products in market at a price greater than the price at which its available in market .. only USP is that money feeds into network .. so u r in profit if u have many levels :)

Wow … So i just asked the corresponding person .. why not start our own brand say TJNetwork !! The funny answer he gave was there was some company called “Mahaveer steels” [ not even listed in exchange]  behind RPM … Man who cares abt these endorsements .. We should mature to see the real value in the product than endosers behind ..except in FMCG .. coz the main reason why girls buy a particular cream is coz the model behind is too sexy !!

You write about “IAS” hardly anyone reads .. U write about “politician affairs” u get pretty good hits !!

In Uncategorized on January 25, 2008 at 3:22 pm

Ya  this is my experience … I had written abt IAS , life etc .. hardly some x clicks .. Today I just wrote abt politician and her affairs .. the clicks had increased 100 % to become 2x !!!

The life story of a politician

In Uncategorized on January 25, 2008 at 8:43 am

I am changing names so that I should not be sued .. But the researcher Drishan claims that the incidents are true.

The story is there was very nice looking , charming dancer in the court of Mysore maharaja .. He incidently had some ‘extra ‘ affairs with is “dancer” although the dancer was married to a guy in “telgu ” industry . Apart from being a dancer in court of Mysore maharaja .. she also was a part of “Tamil” industry . this dancer later gets a daughter from her ‘extra’ affairs .. in Tamil industry this dancer apparently has some relationships with the “Tamil’ icon… N the daughter from “Mysore” also falls in love with this “Tamil” icon .. Now mother ( dancer) is in dilema .. What should she call her daughter as ? Is her daughter stilll her daughter??
Well can u guess who the daughter is ?? Researcher Drishan’s reports …..

Guess ….

So whats in power ??

In Uncategorized on January 24, 2008 at 6:18 pm

Dude r u joking .. everything is in power … Why do u think all the Mahabharath , Ramayana or US-Iraq war happened ?? Its the “quest” of power.

Man is a greedy animal ( just like cow) . He is never satisfied , u give him a $ he tries to make 10 $. U give him a 30 * 40 house , he strives to make a 60*40 house . You give a “nano” , he wants a santro , you give him a santro he wants a honda city , you give him a honda city he wants a Merc .. N u give him a Merc .. hey u  find him dead !!

The journey of mankind is always towards “greed” . Unfortunately the perception of parents is also the same . They want their son to “earn” better  .

If earning big sums was the motivation , then why one studies is a big question ?? You see “big” people they r generally ones who r ” thumbs up” especially in bangalore ( the land lords .. who once were tillers n Indra gandhi passed the tenancy act to make them big lords today) .

If “earning big money ” as the objective they should have thought us to cook .. so that we could have had a hotel when we were some 10-12 years .. n by now .. it would be making a daily turn over of 3-4 L  a day !!

I really feel sad that people study to “earn” rather than study to “learn” .. The missing “l” is a big big “L” in life :(

Should one join IAS for “powers” ?? Ankur (topper) of IAS answers this way

In Uncategorized on January 24, 2008 at 5:18 pm

Well Ankur Gargh The Topper of IAS is really a very frank guy I must say . I has mailed him about my dilema and the following was his reply

“The ‘powers’ vested in an IAS officer should not be the yardstick which one should use to decide on the option of joining the services. Joining the services would certainly be very different from most other placements, as almost all the latter are jobs, whereas IAS is a career. You will have to take your own decisin based on your temprament, competence and interest in administrative issues.

Again, how one finds the ‘execution of powers’ would be a personal decision. For me, it has been an immensely satisfying experience till date. I could not imagine myself in any other job. Thats the reason why after 4 years of an IIT Degree and inspite of selection in all IIMs for an MBA degree, I chose to opt for the Civil Services. But then, its a personal decision and may vary from person to person.

To your question ‘is it worth it’ – my reply when answering for myself would be – yes, every penny of it. Would it be worth your while for you – I am not really the best person to comment.

PS: Ankur , Dude sorry for not asking ur permission to publish this. But this ll help many man …. So am publishing this

My first day in Hostel

In Uncategorized on January 23, 2008 at 4:51 pm

Ya I remember each and every second I have lived in hostel .

I was a cute kid( very seeda sada) worked my ass to clear AIEEE n with some luck I enterted the “best” phase of my Life . As i landed in Hostel with all my luggages I walked to my room in curiousity to see who my roomies were .. seeing all faces trying to find if I had any familiar face !!

<<I have changed names in the story so that I wont be sued later for potraying the incidents without their prior permisson>>

Finally I reached Room 53 Block I .

Me : Knock Knock

Roomie1: [Opens the door with full smile and a mug ready to go the bathroom ].He turns out to be the gold medalist of our batch . I take pleasure in describing Drivek .Right now I ll describe his physical attributes . He is a thin guy , extremely thin , wearing glasses and the “stud” look . Just by seeing his face u can say that he is a very dedicated and hardworking guy .

Me : “Hi Myself ..”

Roomie2: Ya Satish

Roomie 2 Driket is a tall and handsome guy with “no” care attitude . He never cares for his grades or gives a shit to the assignments . He is ‘the’ cool guy .. with amazing mimickery power

Me: ['Thinking in mind .. Wow I am so famous !!]

Roomie2 : We saw ur name wriiten on the cot and Table.

[tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiik .. flash back .. a fort night ago I had come with my dad to get admitted in the college and hostel. In the room ]

Dad: Son , so this is the place

Me: Yes dad ..

[ He looks through the window inhabited by most exotic species on the earth .. ]

Dad: You ll learn a lot !! But keep one important thing in mind . Never go behind girls

Me: [ Common dad .. I have slogged my ass for this freedom :) ] Yup

Dad: I think u should take the middle cot and the table .. [Drags the cot and table and writes my name]

Well so thats how I was greeted by my first Roomies !!

So after resting for few minutes I visit the “bathroom” . With my baneyan .. I was know for being semi nude in hostel !! ( No baneyan coz i hated to wash … And even when i washed after 2 – 3 washes I found that my baneyans tore . So decided to wear as minimal as possible to avoid wastage of my energy) .

I was brushing and in mirror I kept on seeing this guy . He was standing in the queue for toilet waiting for other guy to come out and literally dancing . [Drashidar].

Me: Hey namskara

Drashidar: Oh Kannada !! ..[Intro goes on]

Drashidar : Man just miss in IIT mains . My chem and phy was good but math did not clear .

[ Most of us here were the IIT rejects .... or had aspired for IIT ].

Well I ll next part I ll introduce how I met “Draju ” , ” Ditesh” and “Dedar” , before i start my stories .

Why people make losses in market .. n why we cannot buy when market is so dirt cheap

In Uncategorized on January 22, 2008 at 4:10 pm

If u are thinking why people are taking losses and crying when they can actually short the market and make big bucks !!Its just because they have an unsettled money in F&O  . Theyare in debt .. to their respective brokerge houses . So they have no cash to invest !!

If u have lost money as Mark to market ?? Then hey its the broker’s fault not urs . So u just default .

There are two margin , SPAN margin and extra margin . The margin u pay is ( SPAN + extra) . When ur M2m goes below the extra margin brokerage houses should square off or atleast get a cheque from u …. for additional margin . If he hasnt done that it shis fault . So dont worry !! You just default and be happy !!

Markets down !! Bloodbath

In Uncategorized on January 21, 2008 at 12:21 pm

Today was the worst day in the market . market fell like a pack of cards and i have 60k loss in paper . Hoping for the market to rise tomorrow

penny wise pound foolish !!

In Uncategorized on January 20, 2008 at 6:37 pm

When you roam around the vegetable market , you will find all people bargaining . bargaining for 1 Re , 50 p etc . But you walk into the adidas showroom .. Not a single guy ll bargain for 2500 worth shoes !!!

Is it penny wise and pound foolish !! or just that people know they get a bargain at vegetable market they bargain ??

Flex Events

In Uncategorized on January 19, 2008 at 5:02 pm

Initially I felt “dude what big in this? All you need to do is listener will use addEventListener ans when an event occurs the handle is invoked “

Ok Lets start how would you design such a event  based runtime . Well I would have done the following way ( Please correct me if I am wrong ) .

When I used to do the graphic programming in C all the keyboard , mouse events etc were system interrupts .So the deign goes like this

1> Have interrupt handlers for these , Interrupt handler will get an instance of object where the event occured( ie target) Execute  the function ptr associate with the event Name (interrupt) .

2> When any object adds a eventListener create a queue corresponding to “eventName” and add a function ptr to the handler .

Cool << I think this should work .. atleast refreshing my C skills >>

Well coming to the point !! There is a basic difference how Flash does this event handling with AS3 .

If the event target is not on the displayList then event object is directly dispatched to the target , else the event object is dispatched to the displayList , and eventobject follows the propogation path to reach the target .

Well thats what the DOM 3 event model explains .

Hardware sells in India

In Uncategorized on January 18, 2008 at 12:54 pm

Yup if u r thinking of being an entrepreneur then think Hard not Soft !!

Here the mentality of people is that bigger the product higher the price until it comes to medicines ofcourse . IF u r thinking of automating .. na we have people to work !!

So the main advantage is we have People …. If u are able to come up with any service which is essential for people , even 1 re gain on that means 100cr profit + Unmatchable brand Name . So lets discuss on what are these

Finance Market

Share Market

There are totally 10724411 ( one crore blah blah) demat accounts . Which means only 1% of people are with market . If u can get remaining 99% to market …Thats  like we ll have 100 times the amount in market .. which means huge liquidity , and market ll grow leaps and bounds . So can u get agents to get the demats done and have some source of brokerage houses around the country !!

 Insurance

Yup , Insurance is a big business . On 1 ULIP of 1 L premium sold a bajaj Allianz agent gets 40 % as commision  and 4% or something theron till that guy dies . Its like dead money . U help some guys who is looking for insurance n u too make some in process .

IPO

Well u have 100 people whom u can trust ?? Then simplest thing is take their Demat accounts . Look for big size IPOs  . Take a loan and invest . Say you had 40 people n their demats . U use the partial payment option . Take a loan of 10L for 2 months . Apply . On allotment u ll get atleast 6K in one account so u make 6*40 2.4L profit .

For 2 months intrest u pay is 30K approx .. So u make 2L every 2 months enjoy

The moral is we need to use services that serve “people” junta . Thats why Sri Krishna said “Janata Seva
Janardhana seva”

Hello world!
