The Education business in India
Education business is a low end business .. and lot of unprofessionalism exist .. Other people spread wrong rumors about you , they start bitching about you … and big guys have bought off the gate keepers…as Kalyan puts it ..Career Launcher takes placement officers of main engg colleges in Hyd to Thailand !!
It is sad that it becomes a beauty parlour business .. The Ac’s , drinking water etc is what makes people join!!
1.My personal experience has been that many people call me up but very few turn up to the class .
I have been wondering why is that so ? If at all a person picks up the phone and calls .. the urge in him for civil services dies in a day ??
2. People dont “read” .. anything actually .. They dont take the pain to read the info on webiste .. Guys you are trying to write a examination where reading and comprehending info is the “crux” of examination .
3. People in Bangalore are NOT AT ALL SERIOUS of the examination . They try to juggle with the job and its side effects ..classes on weekends also they want it to be shortened .. etc etc etc ..I just dont get what people want .. a designed crash course ..which I dont want to do .. If I am saying a 225 hr lecture module .. n if you expect no continuous classes how on earth will I manage time ? This basic concept is not understood .
4. People ask some stupendous questions
” Is the building your own ?” — They fear I will run away .. Yeah the Gummiah Layout adress is my house .. The classes happen in NSVK which i take on rent.
5. people keep hovering on the web and dont make a decision if at all they should be preparing for the exam .. Please note this is not a CAT exam to hope with some last month prep .. Civil services needs a systematic and planned efforts .. If at all you wish to write CSE-2010 it is high time one has to start prep …. If at all you are looking for guidance its high time u start taking one..

After considerable amount of time here are some analysis based on data collected from google analytics .
1. I get many first time vists ( 85%) . But 14% second time visits is something good . It means people come back
2. The number of vistors is low , but yet significant Around 2k visits a month( I know many tech blogs get this traffic in a day ) But mine is not a tech blog .
3. Many people aspiring for IAS and using internet are in bangalore 10 times Delhi . So market for internet solutions is in Bangalore only .. It s abysmally low else where . People searching for “IAS coaching” is highest in Bangalore ( around 500 people a mnth) and next in Delhi followed by Chennai .
4. People of late have started using “namma ias” as search string . Now more than 50% of clicks I get from this search string which means people see me as a entity .Earlier I used to get clicks from mainly “IAS coaching bangalore” string .
5. Most people send good amount of time on my site which shows it is informative .
6. The problem is about bounce ratio .. No idea how to control it .
7. Most people use Firefox than IE to come to my website which means people are in SW industry / than laymen .
8 . The conclusion is that people know me .. People know Namma IAS exists , but people are hesitant to try I guess . A open invitation to all ..
There is no use people discuss “Is it good? Do they do this that in some forums . The best way is to experience the innovative learning at Namma IAS . Attend the classes … drop in on Saturdays/Sundays and experience for yourself — Namma IAS

When I speak about “Namma” with someone , they try to conclude that it is another Amway .
But Namma and Amway are miles apart or rather universe apart . Here are the differences .

3. The Total Mall / Apollo Hospital also has memberships .
True , But they offer rebate in cost .NOT A SHARE IN PROFIT . We are the only institution which is offering the consumer a share in the profit . Apart from getting quality service , your membership acts as a investment which gets back returns every 3 months . The potential of return infact may exeed the amount you have paid for the service .
4. Namma Services should be costly else why are they offering this .
No . Namma offers service at the most competitive price . We are realising the power of people . We want people also to realise that if people get united , every person can grow . We give every person back every pie that he is elgible for .
5. Dont speak abstractly . I did not understand the 4th point .

1. I am a well paid techie , I cannot leave the job for prepearation , But my dreams are of IAS . What should I do ?
As a software developer at one of the most prestigious MNC in Bangalore this was the first question which bugged me . I too looked around for solutions . The obvious solutions in Bangalore are
a) JSS
b) Rao
c) Himalaya
So I first joined JSS
2. How is JSS ?
JSS has had some name now ..based on which I joined .The professors are good but the problem is no exam orientation . Ask any senior in JSS this is the answer they give .And dont go by advertisements . Coz if you carefully observe the statements of them , they would have invariably been to Dlehi after JSS .
This was the same problem I experienced . “NO EXAM ORIENTATION” which is the most essential for this kind of exams .
But I would like to add good words on two teachers specially here
1. Dr Abdul Aziz(Economics Professor)
2.Prof Jeevan Kumar ( Pub Ad)– The problem is he comes only on Sunday ..so not much justice can be done to the subject .
Summary
Good for orientation but not for preperation
2. The Malleshwaram Rao’s Weekend Batches
After JSS you ll get the feeling of incompleteness and join Rao’s . Rao is a retd IAS officer . Good for sociology . Pub Ad he s good enough ..BUT
The pblm with weekend batch is they r shrinking the 225hr lecture pgm into a 48hr lecture pgm . N if you calculate the cost/hr then the cost/hr in Bangalore far exeeds what you pay in delhi . ( 28k /225hr) Rao( 10k/48hr)
I guess you r getting the pblm ..These exams need a sustained effort than effort in burbs .
3. Himalaya
Himalaya is the other extreme of JSS . Here there is a guy called Keshava and he is the mai baap of them . But he is neither an IAS nor a IAS aspirant ..He is studying for teaching so i guess u can understand the teaching there or depth of knowledge there .But he conducts tests etc .. But again Not much use
So the above is the scenario of IAS coaching centres in Banaglore . Then people leave to Delhi .For which one will have to leave the city – job etc ..
Problems of Non- Working People
The problem is the hige fees and cost of living . In delhi I found few friends who had sold their ancestral land to pay the fees of the coaching institute and living in Delhi . After paying huge amounts also you are not sure if you are clearing the exams or not . So they are under additonal pressure of proving their worth coz everything is at stake and if things turn topsy tury they are subhected to further humiliation by their own parents/husbands etc who had financed their stay .
Solutions
To fulfill this huge gap I am propunding this “NAMMA INSTITUTE” which works on “NAMMA PHILOSOPHY” .

You can join the “Early Morning” ( 5:30-7:30) or “Late Night”( 7:30 – 9:30) batches . This will give you the continuty and consistency in your preperation and also we offer module wise courses .So if you are strong in a particular module you dont have to sit through that module ( Most science students strong in QA for UPSC so nodt advised to join)

For those who are non – working can choose to pay by TIME instead of MONEY . If they devote their 3hrs of time per day to the institute , based on your skill sets Institute will utilise your time for

2. Social Purpose
